About Me

My name is Andy Stoltz. I’ve been making art since my dad brought home a big stack of continuous form paper (the stuff thats fan folded together and is fed through a printer on sprockets) from work for me to draw on (I think I was four years old). My next big project was a macaroni butterfly which my mom had framed but has since disappeared. After that it was all art lessons, county fairs with blue ribbons and five dollar prizes.

I’m not really from anywhere, I was born in Utah on an air-force base to very young parents, a few years later I was living in very backwoods appalachian Pennsylvania (lots of bats, deer, and other miscellaneous critters. I moved from there to a house on a development bordering on a cornfield when my brother was born. this was hard on me because for some reason I could no longer keep my pet rabbit and at the same time my little brother was born. I also spent loads of time on road trips with my family that all ended up in Illinois where my parents are from. My brother and I would end up spending all summer in Illinois with the grandparents so it was sort of a second home. My dad’s job transferred the family to New Hampshire so there was another move (I’m 13 years old at this stage of the story) Now I’m in Manchester, New Hampshire as a post-grad artist living with my wonderful girlfriend trying to find a foothold for myself that helps me to get out of my crummy manufacturing job.
